Rectal Yeast Infection is as easy or difficult to cure as other yeast infections. If you have a discharge for 3 months, you must talk with a doctor because there could be other factors behind the discharge. Pam G January 25, at 5: And its not easy to discuss this with friends or do to a doctor without being sure.

I know the feeling as I am in great pain too. Hopefully, I will get relief tomorrow. December 10, at 3: I had what started as a creepy-crawly feeling and escalated to pain so severe I was lying on the bathroom floor crying after going. It all started after a nine-day course of IV antibiotics for a cat bite that got infected.
Turned out the reason it persisted for so long is I had thyroid and adrenal problems; I had a lot of other symptoms as well, because the hormone imbalance was screwing up my whole metabolism. So check for that if you have persistent issues. My two other most major symptoms were severe fatigue — which I initially chalked up to the yeast — and uncharacteristic, uncontrollable rage popping up over the smallest things.
Once I got on an adrenal medication, my normally sunny personality returned. Another is the suppository-style miconazole you can get at the drug store. But the biggest thing for me was, I bought a Fleet enema and first used it to clear out any stuff up there that might be harboring yeast.
Then I used the container to make my own version: The probiotics really seem the best way to fight the stuff, and this costs almost nothing. Katie Thank you so much for posting. It sounds like I have exactly what you had and your post has helped point me in the right direction! February 12, at 3: All tests have been negative, but symptoms persist. Seen a number of docs: Any helpful insights or info would be most appreciated. February 5, at 6: Julie July 26, at 1: Nothing preprepared or packaged or prescriptions have worked.
I went to my local health food store and found out my body has not been breaking down yeast. I have been taking vinegar orally and vaginally. After treating the vagninal area yeast was coming out of my butt! Thanks to Betty H, I know what to do next. It blocks vitamin absorption and can lead to hypothyroidism and a number of other problems.
I suffered from hypo, fatigue, and was having anxiety problems. Since I have been treating myself for yeast I have more energy and I have lost 21 pounds. Now if I can just get rid of the rest of the yeast I will be good to go.
Thanks Betty H and this website. Health Advisor December 11, at 4: I really wish you good health back. You need to stop your current medications and review if something in your lifestyle is causing this continued yeast infection. Hope do vaginal antifugal and probiotic suppositories work for anal yeast infections?
Health Advisor March 27, at 3: Both men and women have found it useful. High-touch city lifestyles are contributing to many infections these days. Please be extra careful while using any public toilets. In case of women, the chances of infection is high from toilet seat contact.
If it were very serious surely i would have dropped by now?? I just cannot bring myself to get to a doctor to take a look. I once told a doc about it and she gave me a short dose of meds for yeast. The strange thing is i have been pregnant twice and through both pregnancies the itching was gone. I realise i should get over it and go to the doctor, i live in a small town and everyone knows everyone, i cant imagine walking in the shop and bumping into this doctor.
Life is too short to live with such a nagging discomfort. I understand what you are saying about small town. Can you please visit a nearby large city and meet a doctor there?
Its one of the few times a large city life helps. You took the courage to write on this site. You see we all have normal bacteria in the intestines and rectum, maybe you have sensitive skin or maybe its a symptom of something else. Now please meet a doctor because your kids and I will be happy to see you happily living for many decades more!
Leslie March 27, at 4: My rectal area has been itching burning, even feels numb and is even hurting inside. So they have put me on amoxicillin and three more doses of diflucane. Ive been feeling so sick to my stomach for weeks now I think bc of whatever I have as well as extensive lower back pain, and numb and tingling feet.
It sounds like a severe case of rectal yeast infection. Unfortunately really , I am unable to advice you on the specifics because the doctor who is examining your case and symptoms is best placed to tell what rectal yeast medication to take. But you must seek a second opinion from another doctor. I have found multiple times that all doctors are not equal and some are much better and they have the ability to find can cause and heal.
You have to search for another doctor who can bring your body back to normal. Amoxicillin is a strong antibiotic that is being used as standard treatment for wide range of bacteria, including streptococcus.
A common side effect of Amoxicillin is nausea, diarrhea, vomiting. I feel you have been experiencing nausea. However, if you get any rashes, you must stop using Amoxicillin and please seek medical attention right away if any of these severe side effects occur when using Amoxicillin: Allergic reactions rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue ; bloody stools; confusion; dark urine; fever, chills, or persistent sore throat; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; seizures; severe diarrhea; stomach pain or cramps; unusual bruising or bleeding; vaginal discharge or irritation; yellowing of the skin or eyes.
I pray to God to make you well soon. If possible, please post your comment again to share an update. Linda July 23, at 7: Glabrata vaginal, and I believe also rectal at this point. Glabrata does not respond to azole type fungal drugs Diflucan, fluconazole, etc.
I have tried almost everything out there to treat this monster including 5 weeks of IV drugs — micafungin , but no luck thus far. Mel April 5, at 1: My issues started in November. It began with a vaginal yeast infection and then the rectal symptoms began. After about a week with the help of Monistat the vaginal infection went away but the rectal symptoms have not.
It has been almost 5 months of chronic severe rectal itching and now there is pain. I have been to my family doc twice and she says she sees nothing of course. I have tried literally everything on my own: Please help I am miserable and desperate! Leah November 12, at 2: Salicylic acid seems to lessen the itching but temporarily. I am going to try some other remedies that others have tried on here and found some success. It is hard to tell as I have my outbreak happening at the same time, but I have a ton of itching that I have never had in association with an outbreak before.
Should I try this yeastrol product just in case or can I do harm that way? Any advice is greatly appreciated as this is extremely hard to discuss, over a computer or not. Health Advisor April 28, at 7: Yeastrol is based on homeopathy concepts, so it has not side effects and it should not interfere with your antibiotics. That is the main reason I am able to suggest this to people having rectal yeast infection. Hoping you get well soon! Kate May 1, at 6:
